The US Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness (HMEP) grant provides funds for Hazardous Materials planning and training. These planning funds assist with Hazardous Materials safety, education and compliance in the community. The training funds are to help prepare first responders for Hazardous Materials incidents within the region
